Era nell’aria già da tempo e pare che la conferma del divorzio tra il grande stilista Alexande Wang e la maison Balenciaga, sia ufficiale. Sembra tra i ben informati che al direttore creativo non sia stato rinnovato il contratto in vigore dal 2013. Si mormora che lo stile troppo Wang e poco Balenciaga sia la causa della rottura, ma la separazione è stata definitiva per l’importante calo nelle vendite.
Lo stile wang è decisamente più strong e aggressive del classico Balenciaga, e le aspettative che la maison aveva riposto nel direttore non siano state ripagate. La prossima e ultima sfilata con la firma Alexander Wang sarà il 29 settembre in occasione delle sfilate parigine.
